Messecatering for MEDICA: coffee that keeps 80,000 visitors talking
MEDICA is the world's largest medical trade fair — four long days, over 5,000 exhibitors and more than 80,000 visitors from 72 nations, co-located with COMPAMED. On a floor that size and that international, your stand has seconds to make a clinician stop. A real espresso bar is that reason to stop.
What MEDICA actually is, and who's at your counter
The fair in numbers.
Held every November at Messe Düsseldorf, MEDICA gathers medical technology, imaging, health-IT, hospital and laboratory equipment, diagnostics and consumables under one roof, alongside COMPAMED for the supplier side. The 2026 edition runs 16–19 November.
Your visitors are decision-makers: hospital procurement, distributors, clinicians and engineers, and well over half fly in from abroad. They walk kilometres of aisle across four days. Coffee is not hospitality spend here — it is the break they are already looking for, served at your stand instead of the hall café.
A clinical, international crowd rewards a calm bar
In a hall this dense, most stands blur together. A professional espresso bar cuts through: the aroma stops people mid-aisle, the short queue creates a reason to pause, and while the cappuccino is being made your team already has the opening line.
Our baristas host in English and German, with more languages on request, so the buyer from Japan, Brazil or Italy is welcomed in a language they relax in. That is how a coffee becomes a conversation, and a conversation becomes a qualified lead for your sales team.
Suggested setup for a MEDICA stand
Four days and this much traffic reward volume and hosting over frills. Here is what we would put on your stand.
Two-station coffee bar
With 80,000 visitors across four days, one station can hit its limit at peak. A second La Marzocco station and barista keep the queue short and lively instead of a wall people walk past.
Multilingual barista hosting
72 nations in the hall. Baristas who host in English and German, more on request, greet international buyers warmly and hand the warm ones to your team.
Branded cups & logo latte art
Your logo in the foam and on the cup turns every drink into a walking advert and a photo motif that carries your name down the aisle.
Healthy food & matcha
A medical audience appreciates the on-brand touch: matcha, fresh juices and light bites that fit a health-focused stand better than pastries alone.
Breakfast catering
Four early starts. Fresh coffee, pastries and fruit set up before the doors open make your stand the first stop of the morning.
Everything, from one team
Coffee anchors the stand, but it rarely travels alone. Tell us what your MEDICA stand needs and we deliver it as one package: one team, one setup, one invoice.

Messecatering MEDICA: questions exhibitors ask
How much space does the bar need at MEDICA?
About 2 x 1 meters per station. It fits inside most MEDICA stands and against a wall, and we plan the position so the queue pulls visitors in rather than blocking your demo area.
What do you need from us in the hall?
One standard 230V socket per station. No water connection. We bring the machine, grinder, beans, milk, cups and the barista crew, set up the day before the fair.
Can one bar keep up with MEDICA crowds?
100 to 150 quality drinks per hour, per station. For a busy stand on peak days we recommend a second station so nobody walks away from a long queue.
Which languages do your baristas speak?
English and German as standard, more on request. With over half of MEDICA visitors from abroad, this is often the detail that decides where a buyer lingers.
When do you set up around COMPAMED and MEDICA halls?
Setup the day before is possible, and we coordinate delivery slots with Messe Düsseldorf logistics ourselves, so the first espresso is ready the minute the doors open.
